Let's be honest, January is a tricky month. It feels long, dark and rather chilly and we're the first to feel a little less cheerful this month. One of the things we find that helps is to get outside. A bracing walk in the countryside really lifts the spirits and the faster you walk, the more endorphins you release, and the better you feel. So we try and get outside every day, no matter what the weather.
Back home and once the cobwebs have been cleared, there's nothing better than enjoying a lovely cup of coffee or mug of tea. So to celebrate walking and getting outside, we're giving away a box of loveliness which we hope will make your walk better and the return home wonderful!
What's in the box? We're giving away a copy of 'The Walker's Guide to Outdoor Clues & Signs' by the brilliant Tristan Gooley, otherwise know as The Natural Navigator. Described in the Sunday Times as 'One of the richest, most rewarding books on nature I have ever read', this book is not only a comprehensive guide to natural navigation, it also contains fascinating clues for weather forecasting, tracking city walks, coast walks, night walks and dozens of other areas. And for when you're back from your walk and ready to put the kettle on, we'll pop in a gorgeous striped Cornishware mug, a bag of our freshly roasted Breakfast Coffee and a bag of our finest leaf Breakfast Tea pyramids.
To be in with a chance of winning our boxful of goodies, all you need to do is take a photo on a walk and tag it #cupsmithwalks. Perhaps a favourite spot, landmark or just something lovely you see along the way? It could even be a walk you did a while ago. We'll then pick our favourite shot and announce the winner in a week's time. You can enter either via our instagram page, or upload your photo to our Facebook page. The competition closes Sunday 22nd January. The winner will be notified Monday January 23rd.
The prize can only be sent to a UK address. So whilst the competition is open to anyone in any country, in the eventuality that someone not living in the UK wins the prize, they must be able to provide a UK address for the prize to be sent to (therefore allowing them to award their prize to a friend or relative living in the UK).
The prize will be sent out within 5 days of the competition closing, and once the winner has provided their UK postal address.
The judges decision is final.
